FAQ
Q – Who creates the content for AutoNetTV?
A – The personnel at AutoNetTV draw upon years of experience in the automotive, television and customer education industries for developing topics, researching credible information and writing the content. AutoNetTV also utilizes the assistance of an advisory panel of owners and operators of lube/tire centers to provide perspective and information on industry trends and practices. This panel ensures that the content is relevant and beneficial in educating customers and improving business. AutoNetTV welcomes feedback from viewers and service centers regarding topics, viewpoints and layout.
Q – How do viewers/customers know the programming is independent (not created by an automotive company)?
A – AutoNetTV communicates its independent nature through comments and discussion in program segments, short commercials for the AutoNetTV program, and via the company website (given to viewers of the program). This independent status is vitally important because viewers feel independent programming is two to three times more credible than company-produced content.

Q – Why does AutoNetTV include entertainment-programming segments?
A – In one word … attention . Like your favorite teachers back in school, we mix an education with some fun, humor, and entertaining topics. This healthy mix increases the attention and receptivity of viewers through the educational discussions. Without this blend, the response rate by viewers decreases.
Q – What types of advertisers participate on AutoNetTV?
A – Like standard network and cable television programs, the majority of commercials will span many industries. Fitness, entertainment, finance, retail, technology, fast food, and household products will be represented among advertisers. However, unlike standard network and cable television (and magazines), no competing automotive services will be advertised. AutoNetTV will never endorse company-specific service centers or brands for vehicle maintenance and repairs.
Q – How does AutoNetTV compare to other options for waiting-room programming?
A – Unlike network, cable or satellite TV, AutoNetTV’s goal is to improve the automotive education of your customers. This informative programming leads to an increase in sales revenue. And, unlike regular television, no competing services will be advertised in your place of business. Playing a movie on standard DVD or VHS (such as Toy Story or Star Wars) is in violation of its consumer license agreement, and is against the law. Please see the comparison chart in the Benefits section.
Q – What is required under the contract?
A -
The contract requires each service center to play the program during any/all hours of business operation. It also requires the submission of your monthly car count for each month you receive the program. The car count provided is strictly confidential, and will generally be grouped only by zip code, coupled with all other participating service centers in that area.
Q – Does AutoNetTV ask for personal information about customers?
A – No. Service centers do not provide any personal contact information about customers (name, address, etc.). This information is strictly between you and your customers. However, AutoNetTV may, at its discretion, request such information directly from viewers in connection with a promotion on the website. This exchange would take place from the person’s own residence or place of business.
Q – How often is the content updated?
A – AutoNetTV updates both its customer and Pro Channel program content monthly. The movie reviews and celebrity interviews focus on those movies that are currently, or soon to be, in theaters. The educational content (automotive service related) emphasizes general services, as well as those that are important based on the current season (e.g. wiper blades during rain/snow seasons, A/C service during the warm months, and so forth).
