AutoNetTV Lengthens Waiting Room Program

More of a Good Thing – AutoNetTV Lengthens its Waiting Area TV Program to 90 Minutes

AutoNetTV, North America’s leading provider of automotive waiting-room television, is lengthening its monthly service center program loop to 1 ½ hours.

Each AutoNetTV episode is anchored by ten core education segments that cover automotive service topics ranging from a simple oil change to transmission service and timing belt replacement. These core segments empower consumers to make better automotive service decisions and understand their impact on safety, performance and operating costs.

CBS television network is a content partner, providing entertaining segments from various CBS properties such as Entertainment Tonight, The Early Show, The Insider, VH1, and TV Land as well as clips from such CBS classics as The Honeymooners and I Love Lucy. Movie and DVD reviews, celebrity interviews and new car reviews round out AutoNetTV’s award winning programming.

“It’s all about improving the consumer’s experience,” says AutoNetTV Chairman, Robert Cannon. “They are relaxed and entertained while they learn how to take better care of their vehicles.”

From its regular service center surveys, AutoNetTV learned that customers of tire and full service centers occasionally wait for more than the 75 minute length of the typical episode. In order to enhance their waiting experience, it has lengthened its Tire & Full Service loop to an hour and a half, beginning with the September 2008 episode. The Quick Lube version remains at approximately 60 minutes.
